At River West Church, we believe that we have been placed in our city for a purpose bigger than ourselves. As the message of the Gospel has taken root in people’s lives, ordinary folks from our community have stepped out to serve our city in extraordinary ways! Each week, teams of people gather underneath overpasses, in maternity homes, and in low-income hotel lobbies to love the poor of our city in Jesus’ name.

5ROCK RANCH
​5Rock Ranch is about restoring faith, hope, and love to the fatherless and the floundering through Jesus Christ in community. DOOR TO GRACE

FIRST IMAGE (FORMERLY PREGNANCY RESOURCE CENTER)

FOSTER CARE
There are many ways to support children in foster care and the families who care for them.

HOTEL

LAKE OSWEGO TRANSITIONAL SHELTER MINISTRY
LOTSM operates two apartments right here in our community, providing families transitioning from homelessness the safety and shelter of a temporary home, where they receive the direct support and services needed to return to self-sufficiency. LOVING OUR CITY
Each week in the foyer you’ll find cards with donation items that our local ministry partners need. Take a card, purchase the item, and drop it off in the metal bin. For more information, contact Lisa Feenstra at   or 503.699.2226.

NIGHT STRIKE
Provide a warm, home-cooked meal to the homeless under the Burnside Bridge. For more information, contact Lesley Snider at or visit bridgetowninc.org.

PRISON FELLOWSHIP
Trains and equips Christian churches and communities to support the restoration of those affected by incarceration. There are many opportunities to get involved, from leading Bible studies to mentoring inmates, both in prison and after their release. For more information, contact Corina Schmidt at  .

REFUGEE CARE TEAM
There are a number of ways to welcome and reach out to refugees right here in our city. Our team provides refugee families with furniture and Restart Kits filled with items they need to help them transition into their new community. We also work alongside city partners to connect families with ESL classes and safe mentoring relationships. For more information, click here.
